Happy Tail - Miranda B An adopter arrived at our event unsure of what the day would bring. She had recently lost her beloved dog and wasn't sure she was ready to adopt again. That changed the moment she met Lil Sister. As soon as she stepped into the van, Lil Sister rushed to the gate and gave her gentle kisses through the bars. When we opened the gate, Lil Sister melted into the adopter's arms. In that instant, she knew this was her new best friend. She took Lil Sister home that day and never looked back.

Turning Love Into Action for Our Community - Miranda B At Moore Chrysler Jeep the Jeep love promise is not just something we say. It is something we strive to live every day through meaningful actions in our community. This holiday season we were proud to host our 4th annual build a bike event. This years event we were honored to build and gift 34 brand new bikes to local children in need. The bike represent much more than transportation. They represent freedom, confidence, independence and the opportunity to create lasting childhood memories. For many of the children who received a bike, it was their very first one. In addition to the bikes we were able to stuff and donate 200 stuffed animals to Phoenix Children's Hospital Cancer Center. These donation were made with the understanding that small gestures can bring comfort during difficult times. The stuffed animals were delivered to children bravely facing serious illnesses, offering encouragement, emotional support and reassurance that they are not alone. To further support families during the holiday season, Matt Moore (our owner) also provided each child 250 dollars to help the families with Christmas gifts, essential items and seasonal needs. We recognize that the holidays can place additional financial stress on families already facing challenges. Our goal was to help ease that burden and allow families to focus on spending meaningful time together. What made this event truly special was not just the number of bikes built or gifts donated but the sense of connection felt throughout the day. Seeing children smile as they received their bikes reinforced why community involvement is at the heart of everything we do.

We were honored to welcome MCACC to Peoria Subaru earlier this month as part of our Subaru Loves Pets event! Several amazing dogs found their forever homes during the event — including Luna and Lil Sister pictured here! Subaru of America also awarded MCACC a generous grant last week to help cover adoption fees for adult dogs. Thanks to this support,more than 90 dogs were adopted in just two days. We’re grateful for MCACC’s partnership and the lifesaving work they do every day. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Peoria, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Peoria Subaru is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Peoria Subaru have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/16/2025, Peoria Subaru donated 504 coats to Child Crisis Arizona. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

our 5th graders had an out-of-this-world experience with the Arizona Science Center’s Mobile Planetarium! 🚀✨Students were transported into space right from our school, where they explored constellations, learned about the solar system, and deepened their understanding of the universe in a truly immersive way. The interactive dome made science come alive and sparked lots of curiosity and excitement! A huge thank you to our 5th grade teachers for organizing, Peoria Subaru and the Arizona Science Center for bringing this incredible experience to our students!

Before we even got in the door at Peoria Subaru, we were welcomed by a friendly face. We got to know that friendly face as Dylan C. Purchasing a vehicle can be an intimidating and stressful experience. Dylan made the process a lot less stressful. He was patient when listening to our questions and was willing to find answers if there was one he was unsure of. Dylan even went above and beyond by obtaining permission to bring the vehicle to our home to see if it would fit in our garage This was one important thing on our checklist that needed to be completed before we could finalize the purchase. All of the staff were great, but Dylan C really stood out. He has continued to follow up with us to make sure things are going ok and letting us know we can reach out to him with any questions or concerns that we may still have. A dedicated group of our employees spent a day packing food orders for 1,200 families in need, ensuring they received the vital nourishment needed to get through the week. It was an incredibly humbling and rewarding experience, seeing firsthand the difference a little effort can make in the lives of those facing difficult circumstances. This holiday season, Peoria Subaru was honored to host our Build A Bike event, where we came together as a community to give back in a big way! Thanks to the incredible generosity and teamwork of our staff, volunteers, and partners, we were able to build and donate 35 bikes and stuffed animals to foster children and children in need. 🧸🚲 Each bike was carefully assembled with love and care, ensuring that a child who may not have had the chance to receive a new gift would have something special to brighten their Christmas morning. Alongside the bikes, we also donated stuffed animals to bring comfort and joy to even more kids. On October 18th, we had the incredible support of Peoria Subaru, who generously sponsored our adoption event and brought their enthusiastic team members to help. Not only did they provide much-needed resources for the event, but they also went above and beyond by volunteering their time to socialize our adorable kittens.
The energy and care they brought to the event made a huge difference in the kittens' experience, and it was evident that their presence helped make the event even more special. Thanks to the combined efforts of Peoria Subaru’s team, our dedicated volunteers, and all the loving adopters who came out, we were able to find forever homes for 10 of our wonderful cats! The joy and excitement of seeing so many kittens go to loving families was truly heartwarming, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the partnership with Peoria Subaru. Eighth Annual Donation Event Earns $60,000 Toward Education
This year was the eighth consecutive Moore Chrysler Jeep FIAT donation car event in Peoria, AZ, and we are pleased to announce it was a rousing success! Community members contributed generously toward a good cause that is near and dear to our hearts. After donating, each was entered into a raffle for a chance to be selected for a donor car. The winner is now a proud owner of a Subaru model for long drives in or near Phoenix, AZ, road trips, camping excursions, or family-fun activities. Moore Chrysler Jeep FIAT congratulates our eighth annual winner and wishes them all the best on their Subaru journey.
In total, this charity event raised $60,000, an incredible turnout! Sunburst Elementary was in for a surprise this morning during a special assembly featuring Peoria Subaru! Sunburst Principal Jennifer Dial kicked off the event by highlighting the many ways that Peoria Subaru has supported the school over the past two years from volunteering at Read Across America to donating bikes, supplies and candy for its Trunk or Treat event. Then, students representing every grade level were split into two teams for a friendly puzzle competition. After the fun, Matt Moore from Peoria Subaru shared about the importance of education and the critical role of teachers. He then surprised the school with a check for $15,000 before deciding to double it, donating a grand total of $30,000! It was the highlight of the assembly as it came as an incredible surprise to all and filled the room with excitement and gratitude. The donation was a part of Subaru Loves Learning®, a national program championed by Subaru of America, Inc. that helps provide funding for teachers at high-needs schools across the country to purchase the school supplies and resources needed to help their students succeed. Benefitting more than 625 students, the donation will provide Sunburst teachers with $500 worth of funding each to purchase supplies for the school year on the AdoptAClassroom.org Marketplace. As a teacher one of the hardest weeks of the year is the first week of school. This year we at Peoria Subaru wanted to give back. Lamp of Learning Award In the Spring of 2022 we were connected to Peoria Subaru through Adopt-A-Classroom. We were extremely surprised and grateful to learn that Peoria Subaru was going to support six of Sunburst’s teachers to help supply their classrooms and students for the upcoming school year. We connected with Miranda Burris and little did we know our partnership with Peoria Subaru would blossom over the upcoming years. Immediately after our connection, Peoria Subaru became part of our community through Read Across America by conducting in classroom readings, supporting the Annual Sunburst Learning Fair, and setting up and volunteering at our Scholastic Book Fair. In the Spring of 2023 we were delighted to learn that Peoria Subaru would continue their support through Adopt-A-Classroom for the 2023-2024 school year. Every dollar matters and our teachers appreciated the continued generosity of Peoria Subaru. However, we did not expect Matt Moore the owner of Peoria Subaru to increase the donation by $12,500 to a total of $15,000. The contribution this year was entirely unexpected and has enabled 25 additional staff enrich their learning environments through flexible seating, school supplies, and STEM kits. Peoria Subaru’s support continued throughout the year. In October of 2023 Peoria Subaru helped Sunburst with our free Trunk or Treat Halloween event. Peoria Subaru donated 8,000 pieces of candy and 1,300 bags of pretzels. Not only did Peoria Subaru donate, they came dressed up in costumes and distributed the candy and pretzels from two themed Subarus, one Candyland and one Hocus Pocus. Many of the parents were surprised that a car dealership was so passionate and committed to helping our school. It is on November 19, 2023 that truly made us understand that Peoria Subaru is more than just a car dealership. Matt and Miranda invited us to their annual bike build event, which provided 31 bikes to 19 families. Prior to the event they asked us for 10 students who needed a bicycle. The event was kept as a surprise to the children. The Sunburst team and the Peoria Subaru team worked in tandem to build and customize each bike for these unsuspecting children. The event started with food trucks, cupcakes, and stuffed animals for each child. Just when the families thought the event was ending, the children were surprised with a bicycle that was customized to their height and equipped with helmets and safety gear. The look on each child’s face as their customized bike was presented to them was a joy for all those present. We thought this was the end of the event. Well it turns out, Peoria Subaru had a surprise for the parents too. Matt presented a check to each family for $500. This was a huge surprise to all of us, not even the Sunburst team knew about the checks. What Peoria Subaru nor Sunburst knew is one family that day was going through a rough time. The mother was in the ICU that week and was just released the Friday before the event. The family almost didn’t attend, as they wanted to stay with Mom. However, Mom insisted normalcy be restored so dad and kids attended the event. Not only did Peoria Subaru deliver a break to that family from the reality of life, the $500 check helped alleviate the burden of the unplanned medical bills. Peoria Subaru didn’t just host a bike build event that day, they helped bring joy and restore normalcy to a family in need. Peoria Subaru is more than just our Adopt-A-Classroom partner, Peoria Subaru is part of the Sunburst community. Peoria Subaru continues to support Sunburst as if our team is their team. We never imagined in 2022 when we first connected with Miranda that a year later Peoria Subaru would be helping families in need. We are truly grateful for the team at Peoria Subaru and we are proud to award the Lamp of Learning to Peoria Subaru. The Lamp of Learning is Washington Elementary School District’s highest honor and recognizes the extraordinary contributions to Washington Elementary School District’s Vision, Mission and Values. We were so proud to recognize Peoria Subaru at our Lamp of Learning celebration on April 19, 2024. The Subaru Love Promise is real and we are extremely grateful we were able to be recipients of Peoria Subaru’s Love Promise.
Trunk or Treat-Sunburst Elementary
On Friday the 28th of October we were able to be apart of the Trunk or Treat Event at Sunburst Elementary. We donated over 8,000 pieces of candy and over 1,300 bags of pretzels. We decorated two Subaru vehicles to pass candy out of as well. Thank you Sunburst for letting us be apart of this!
Sunburst Elementary- Adopt a Classroom
This year we were able to adopt 25 classrooms! By doing this it will help over 800 students with supplies and ways to help with their education. As we visited the school the teachers shared some of the ways they will be using the money donated. Many are buying flexible seating, school supplies, building their own gardens, and more. We are thankful to partner with our schools!
Thrive AZ
Our team was able to volunteer time at Thrive AZ. We helped them inventory some of the donations to get ready for their HUGE Christmas event! Thrive AZ helps foster care children who are aging out of the program.

Our staff and customers were able to color bookmarks to send to Valley of the Sun United Way to help encourage reading to their summer program.

Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
In the month of June we are partnering with Leukemia and lymphoma society. We will be taking blankets and art kits to a cancer center to donate to patients.

Sunburst Elementary invited us to help set up their Learning Fair. Where each grade level presents something they have learned over the last year.

St. Vincent de Paul - Cards for Newly Housed Individuals
Over the last week we have been making homemade cards to encourage and support newly housed individuals with the St. Vincent de Paul's Program.
Park Clean Up
We have partnered with the City of Peoria to do park clean up on April 12th. We will be cleaning a local park for a few hours to help bring awareness to Subaru Loves the Earth.
