Sunburst Elementary-Trunk or Treat

On Friday the 28th of October we were able to be apart of the Trunk or Treat Event at Sunburst Elementary. We donated over 8,000 pieces of candy and over 1,300 bags of pretzels. We decorated two vehicles to pass candy out of as well. Thank you Sunburst for letting us be apart of this!

Sunburst Elementary- Adopt a Classroom

This year we were able to adopt 25 classrooms! By doing this it will help over 800 students with supplies and ways to help with their education. As we visited the school the teachers shared some of the ways they will be using the money donated. Many are buying flexible seating, school supplies, building their own gardens, and more. We are thankful to partner with our schools!

Thrive AZ

Our team was able to volunteer time at Thrive AZ. We helped them inventory some of the donations to get ready for their HUGE Christmas event! Thrive AZ helps foster care children who are aging out of the program. 

Bookmarks

Our staff and customers were able to color bookmarks to send to Valley of the Sun United Way to help encourage reading to their summer program. 

Color A Smile

This month we are doing a volunteer event that you can do from the comfort of you home with us. We are coloring pictures to send to Color A Smile. Color A Smile has been around since 1980. 

Make-A-Wish Arizona

We were able to present Make-A-Wish Arizona with the donation from our Share the Love event. Thank you Make-A-Wish for all you do for the community! 

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

In the month of June we are partnering with Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We will be taking blankets and art kits to donated to the patients. 

Learning Fair

Sunburst Elementary invited us to help set up their Learning Fair. Where each grade level presents something that they have learned over the year. 

Book Fair

What was the best time of your life as a grade school student? BOOK FAIR!! We were invited to come and help set up the book fair at Sunburst Elementary on May 5th and we are so excited!

St. Vincent de Paul-Cards for Newly Housed Individuals.

Over the last week we have been making homemade cards to encourage and support newly housed individuals with the St. Vincent de Paul's Program. 

Park Clean Up

We have partnered with the City of Peoria to do a Park Clean up! We cleaned a local park for a few hours!

Read Across America

In honor of Read Across America some of our team was able to go to Sunburst Elementary to read to students. 

Read Across America is aiming to promote reading through events and partnerships among children and teens all across the nation. 

Arizona Helping Hands

We spent most of the day on March 14th helping in the warehouse for Helping Hands. They have a clothing warehouse were foster parents can come once a month and get basic needs for the child in their home for FREE. We were able to help with the families in shopping for each child. We also helped decorate bags for the Birthday Day wishes. 

Phoenix Dream Center
We donated 500 pairs of socks to Phoenix Dream Center in the month of February. Phoenix Dream Centers mission is to stop human trafficking, end childhood hunger, and educate tomorrow's leaders.
